SETTING ENTRY​

1.1 Access Setting Entry​

Open Setting Entry – Step-by-Step

Step 1: Reach Setting Entry Screen:

  • From the main side menu Production and Quality then go to Operations, then choose Setting Entry.
  • This will open the Setting Entry screen.

This screen is accessible only to authorized users based on role permissions.


1.2 Machine And Process Selection​

Select Machine Details

Select Machine Information

Choose the following fields:

  • Machine: Select the machine used for the setting process.

  • Select Pallet:

    • If the selected machine has pallet count configuration, a Pallet dropdown will appear.
    • Select the required pallet before proceeding.

Pallet Selection Behavior:

  • If the selected machine has only one pallet configured, the system will automatically select it.
  • If the machine has multiple pallets configured, the user must manually select the required pallet from the dropdown before proceeding.
  • Pallets displayed depend on machine configuration.
  • Available pallets are automatically shown based on the selected machine.
  • The number of pallet options may vary depending on machine setup.

Pallet options are system-controlled and cannot be modified from this machine screen.

  • Part Name – Control Plan: Select the part and its control plan.
  • Machining Process: Select the process to be performed.
  • Click Get Task to load tasks.

Tasks will be fetched only if cycle time is available for the selected process.


1.3 Frequency Behavior​

Other Frequency Field

  • For users with the Setter role, only the Setting option will be shown in the dropdown.

1.4 Task Tabs​

The Setting Entry screen contains the following subtabs:

  • Part Validation: Ensures that the parts meet the required quality and specifications.
  • Tool Change: Records and tracks any changes made to the tools during the process.
  • Pending Validation: Lists items that are awaiting validation before proceeding.
  • Rework: Tracks parts that need reprocessing due to defects or errors.
  • Work Instruction: Provides specific guidelines or steps for the operator to follow during the task.

Role-Based Tab Access:

  • Users with the Setter role will only have access to:

    • Part Validation
    • Pending Validation
    • Work Instruction
  • Other roles will have access to all tabs.


1.5 Setting Piece Transactions​

View Transactions – Step-by-Step

  • Click Setting Piece Details button.

This dialog displays:

  • Machine

  • Pallet

  • Process

  • Part

  • Heat Serial Number

  • Status

  • Only latest 10 records are shown.

  • Active records are highlighted with green colour.


1.6 Status Selection​

Default status = Approved

Setter Role Status Options:

Users with the Setter role can select only:

  • Approved
  • Machining Defect
  • Hold for Inspection
  • Casting Rejection

Available Status Options (Other Roles):

  • Approved
  • Hold for Inspection
  • Hold for Research
  • Rework
  • Casting Rejection
  • Machining Defect

1.7 Completion​

Setting entry saved successfully.
